The word F-bomb also made the list.  The shocking reveal was not it’s addition however, but the word’s print origin.  The dictionary traced it back to a 1988 Newsday interview with baseball great Gary Carter.  Carter who was famous for forswearing swearing, made reference to the two times he was ever thrown out of a game. Carter said, “that was when I used to use the F-bomb.”  

Add another accomplishment to the late Mr. Carter’s Hall of Fame resume.
